For more than 65 years, we have been helping turn complex development ideas into successful projects.
Our Story
1960
22.4.1960 je bil ustanovljen LUZ kot Okrajni zavod za urbanizem, Ljubljana. Prva leta delovanja so zaznamovale priprava prvega generalnega urbanističnega plana - GUP Ljubljana in stanovanjske soseske, ki so bile zgrajene v sistemu usmerjene stanovanjske gradnje.
1972
V času, ko je bilo v Ljubljani zgrajenih 1600 do 2100 stanovanj letno, je LUZ pomembno prispeval k družbeno usmerjeni stanovanjski gradnji. Prav tako je izdelal vso urbanistično dokumentacijo, spremembe zazidalnih načrtov in lokacijsko dokumentacijo za gradnjo 45 osnovnih šol, 50 vrtcev, 12 zdravstvenih domov in 4 domov za starejše.
2000
Na LUZ-u se razširi nabor dejavnosti na področju prostorskega načrtovanja, hkrati pa se še intenzivneje in v večjem obsegu razvijajo dejavnosti s področij arhitekture, krajinske arhitekture ter komunalne in prometne infrastrukture, ki se med seboj vse bolj prepletajo.
2026
Danes naše delo obsega celoten spekter storitev – od strateškega načrtovanja in strokovnih analiz do priprave projektne dokumentacije in načrtovanja infrastrukturnih ureditev. Pri projektih povezujemo znanja različnih strok, kar omogoča celostne rešitve za mesta, naselja in krajino.

Cycling
During the season, every Wednesday we embark on afternoon rides around Ljubljana and its wider area, and each year we also participate in numerous organized marathons at home and abroad, such as Maraton Franja, Dolomiti, and Stelvio. We traditionally conclude the cycling season with a special ‘royal’ tour, always at a new location.
Hiking
Every year we have traditional spring and autumn hikes. We conquer peaks of varying difficulty, adapting the routes to the seasons and participants. The tours are always accompanied by good company, interesting conversations, and well-deserved stops in mountain huts.
bLUZ band
It’s hard to believe, but it’s true. At LUZ, we provide our own entertainment and dance. Our band delights us with selected hits at group events and proves that despite our engineering minds, creativity and a sense of rhythm remain within us.
