Industrijska Street in Zalog
The nearly 2 km long new Industrijska Street on the section between Cesta v Prod and Zaloška Street represents a significant asset for residents, the city, and economic activities.
Companies have gained fast access to the motorway network, residents of Zalog have been relieved of transit freight traffic, and cyclists and pedestrians can enjoy a comfortable tree-lined pedestrian path.
For the new industrial road, we conducted the spatial planning procedure and participated in the adoption of the municipal spatial plan, and prepared all necessary project documentation (PGD, DGD, DED, and subsequently PID).
The road and surrounding area were developed in two separate projects: the Hladilniška pot-Zaloška cesta section and the Agrokombinatska-Hladilniška connecting road.
Hladilniška pot – Zaloška cesta Section
The project includes the development of a new local collector road on the western edge of Zalog, connecting Hladilniška pot with Zaloška cesta. Together with the northern section of Industrijska Street, it forms a new traffic connection functioning as the western bypass of Zalog.
The new road enables more efficient routing of freight and passenger traffic from the industrial areas of Zalog and Polje towards the Sneberje motorway junction, thereby relieving residential areas. The project contributes to greater traffic safety, noise reduction, decreased traffic loads, and improved quality of the living environment.
A new roundabout with retaining walls is planned at the junction with Zaloška cesta. The project also includes the development or reconstruction of sewerage, water supply, electrical power and telecommunications lines, and public lighting.
Agrokombinatska-Hladilniška Connecting Road Section
The project includes the design of a new local collector road on the western edge of Zalog, connecting Cesta v Prod, Agrokombinatska cesta, and Hladilniška pot. The new traffic connection is primarily intended to redirect freight and passenger traffic from commercial areas away from residential parts of Zalog.
The development is planned in two phases. The first includes approximately 1.4 km, and the second approximately 700 m of new road, together with the construction of roundabouts and connections to the existing road network. The solutions take into account the needs of freight and bus traffic, access to public passenger transport, and connections to the Zajčje dobrave recreational area.
The project contributes to relieving residential areas, improving traffic safety and accessibility of commercial areas, while respecting the surrounding space and preserving agricultural land. As part of the new traffic arrangement, adaptation and construction of necessary utility, electrical power and telecommunications infrastructure, and public lighting are also planned.
