Study of Locations for Charging Infrastructure and Multimodal Hubs (GreenSwitch)

ELES, in cooperation with nine partners from three countries (Slovenia, Austria, Croatia), is implementing the “GreenSwitch” project, which was submitted on 8 3. 2021 to the fifth EU PCI project list.

The successful application and confirmation of the project on the PCI list enables partners to apply for co-financing from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) mechanism, announced by CINEA, expected at the end of 2021. The “GreenSwitch” project, among other things, envisages the establishment of so-called “mega” charging infrastructure from the transmission network at multiple locations in Slovenia, at motorway junctions near transmission substations or transformer stations – approximately 15 locations in total. A Study was conducted to identify suitable locations for the establishment of multimodal hubs.
