RCPS Savinjska Workshop
How do residents move around the region every day, where do they face the greatest challenges, and which transport solutions could make their daily journeys easier? These are precisely the questions at the heart of preparing regional comprehensive transport strategies (RCPS).
At LUZ, we contribute to the preparation of RCPS as part of our work in the field of sustainable mobility and the preparation of strategic documents. In doing so, we connect expert analyses, the needs of individual municipalities, and the experiences of people who use the space and transport links every day.
As part of preparing [name of the RCPS or the region], we attended the workshop [name/location of the workshop], where, together with [participants – e.g., municipal representatives, expert services, residents, other stakeholders], we addressed [main workshop topics].
We discussed primarily [e.g., key transport challenges in the region, public transport connections, cycling links, accessibility, parking, road safety …] and gathered participants’ proposals and perspectives on how mobility could be improved in the future.
Such workshops are an important part of preparing the strategy, as they complement expert data with people’s experiences and local knowledge of the area. This enables us to better identify actual needs and jointly shape measures that will contribute to safer, more accessible, and better-connected mobility in the region.
RCPS are part of a broader area of our work, which also includes the preparation of DCSP, OCPS, mobility plans, and parking policy implementation plans.
