Geodetic Days – The Intersection of Energy and Geodesy

At LUZ d.d., we actively participated once again this year in the 53rd Geodetic Day, which took place in Čatež ob Savi under the title “Geodesy and Energy: Together in Space”

On the topic of energy in space, we were represented by Marko Fatur, who presented a lecture titled “Geodesy in State Spatial Plans,” demonstrating how high-quality geodetic foundations are crucial for the accuracy and compliance of all phases of planning state spatial plans.
On the topic of recording energy infrastructure, Aljaž Peklaj and Veljko Miljković presented a lecture titled “Use of TLS in the Preparation of Geodetic Plans,” showcasing best practices in the use of terrestrial laser scanning in the preparation of geodetic plans.

The event demonstrated that geodesy plays an important role in the development of modern and sustainable energy infrastructure. In addition to professional content, it also provided an opportunity for networking and the exchange of valuable experiences, opinions, and ideas among colleagues in the field.
