Rafut Park

Rafut Park is a historic park dating back to the era of late Romantic exoticism. Part of the park and the villa were designed by architect Anton Laščak, who spent most of his life and worked in the Middle East. This is also the origin of the oriental touch of the building and the large number of exotic plants that were planted in the park.

As part of the renovation planned by LUZ, d.d., the park was cleared of overgrowth and wild vegetation, all existing valuable trees were professionally maintained, and all built elements of the park design were restored or renovated. Rafut Park is one of the most important and unique garden architectural heritage sites in Slovenia, and it is also the largest planned park area in the Goriška region.
