An insight into design and production

Our landscape architects also draw inspiration for their work abroad. As part of a professional field trip organised by Kompan, they visited the Atelier Krejčiríkovi studio in Slovakia last week, where they were presented with a park renovated last year. A large part of the park is a children’s playground featuring integrated Kompan play equipment.

In Brno, Czech Republic, they visited a playground equipment factory, where they saw the Robinia and Corocord lines and the production process—from small component parts to large assembled play structures. They combined business with pleasure and, in addition to many architectural landmarks, also visited the Tugendhat Villa by the renowned architect Mies van der Rohe.

Before concluding the field trip, they stopped in Vienna’s Seestadt Aspern district and, together with a landscape architect, toured the outdoor areas.
